One Week Left

I am down to my very last week of teaching after almost 38 years.  My fifth graders are not happy I am leaving so guess they must have enjoyed having me as their teacher.  I am going to miss their constant talking and excitement to share news with me!  This has been the best group of kids to have as my last class!  All of them are special and capable of so much in life, even my "magnet kiddos" or my "Dennis the Menace!"  Love you all, but now I am ready to spend time with Mr. Little and see the world that we have studied throughout the year.

As I begin this blog, I want everyone to understand that I will be addressing my class throughout since they are going on this journey with me through this blog. I will also comment to my own family (Kimberlee/Mike/Connor/Lucas and Drew/Kate/Amelia).

What's next for us?  Dean's last day of work at the bank was Friday, April 17th.  The bank was bought out so he has a little time on his hands before finding a new job.  My last day of school is Friday, May 1st.  We are leaving on Wednesday, May 6th to go on a trip of a lifetime!  We plan to be gone over 6 weeks and will travel to 20 states.  We will explore national parks, space centers/museums, Presidential libraries as well as visiting with family. We are very excited to make this journey...relaxing, spending time and building memories together.  After almost 39 years of marriage, we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives.  We hope you will follow along with us as we share our adventures!
