Toodling 'Round Houston

Day # 4 - May 9th

Les and Arlene took us "toodling" 'round Houston today to see the sights.  First stop was the medical area.  What an amazing sight to see! Everywhere you look, on every street, for blocks and blocks...hospitals, doctors offices, medical research centers, college/universities medical schools, and huge parking garages!

MD Anderson Cancer Centers seemed to be on just about every corner!

Baylor College of Medicine was where Laura got her Ph.D.

Other hospitals included St. Luke's Episcopal and Houston Methodist.

We also visited the museum and theater districts before eating lunch at Kenny and Ziggy's Deli.  What a fabulous place!

                    The food was so yummy!

The restaurant is another one where lots of famous people visit, especially actors/actresses in the theater and and movie industry. The decor has autographed Broadway Playbills, movie posters, and caricatures of recognizable characters.

On the way back to their house, we passed the nrg stadium and the Astrodome.

In the evening, we went to Laura and Lou's to watch their kids while Laura played in the medical orchestra concert.  We had a great time playing with the kids!

As we wrapped up the day, we took our new mantra we saw at Kenny and Ziggy's.  Are you with us?
